Mediating Workplace Bullying Complaints from a Transformative Perspective

 

Parties to a mediation are rarely on an equal footing.  In complaints of workplace bullying, there is a designated complainant and an alleged bully. The lodging of a formal complaint may reverse initial roles, however, both parties ending up feeling persecuted by the other side. The transformative approach can provide a respectful way to allow all parties, however designated, to have their say, clarify the situation, and examine their options. This workshop is intended for people wishing to learn more about mediating workplace bullying complaints, as well as those responsible for designing anti-bullying programs.
